I think that this video was helpful in teaching me how to let the students be a bit more relaxed in the classroom while having it be structured as well. I grew up in a classroom where it was pretty much complete direct instruction and it was boring for me as a student. It was not very engaging which led most students to not pay attention so you can only imagine where they led too. There was no getting up out of your seat unless you had to go to the bathroom or had to sharpen your pencil. But this video has shown that power-point based learning is not so effective and changing it up a bit and having a more project based instruction is key to success. They students were allowed to use their cell phones for projects and videos and lap tops in which is very engaging to this generation. We have to find what they like and use it educationally. It's a must! It is much more enjoyable for them as students to be in a comfortable setting so that they can focus on learning.
